About Us

The Florence Area Radio Control Aircraft Association (FARCAA) is an RC club that is actively involved in many aspects of the radio controlled model aircraft hobby, including electric and glow power systems, slope soaring, float and scale flying and helicopters. FARCAA is a chartered club of the Academy of Model Aeronautics  (Charter # 4634) and a Non Profit Oregon Corporation.  Members fly both at the main field and and at Woahink Lake (see below for maps). Members of the club regularly meet and fly on Sunday and Monday mornings all year and add Wednesdays and Fridays during the summer flying season.  The club’s main flying field is access controlled, so please contact a club officer if you wish to join the club and access the main flying site.  FARCAA also has an active training program if you are new to the hobby and would like help getting started.

Flying at the airport site requires a safety observer.  Contact a club officer for the names of persons who have volunteered to serve if available and called at least the day before flying.
